Back in April 2007, I set out to ride my bike every day for a month and wrote a blog about it for Cycling Weekly. And so The 30-Day Challenge was born.
In 2011, I revived the idea and the People’s Grand Tour was born and in 2012 the event was tweaked so that the event lasted three weeks, just like the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España.
The winner of the first People’s Grand Tour in spring 2012 was Steve Trice. Here’s our roll of honour so far…
